How to join our Simple Legacy SMP

Simply Legacy SMP Getting Started 6 steps

How to join our community Simple Legacy SMP

Download and install a Minecraft launcher that supports modpacks. We recommend ATLauncher for the best experience. Modrinth App also works great.
Open your launcher, go to the modpack browser, and search for "Simple Legacy" or go to our project site and get the download link there.
Click Install and wait for all mods to download. The pack uses Fabric 1.21.10, so the launcher will set that up automatically.
For the best performance, allocate at least 4-6 GB of RAM in your launcher settings. Go to Settings → Java → Memory and set the maximum.
Hit Play!
Click on play -> Join Server -> Add Server -> Set a Name -> Enter the IP adress fmi-legacy.kinetichosting.gg -> Join the Server

Troubleshooting {Additions}

{Additions} Troubleshooting 3 steps

Common issues and solutions for the {Additions} modpack.

Make sure you have Java 21 installed and selected in your launcher. Fabric 1.21 requires Java 21. Also ensure you have allocated enough RAM (4 GB minimum).
The pack includes performance mods by default. If you still experience lag, try lowering render distance to 10-12 chunks and turning off Fancy Graphics.
Adding extra mods may cause conflicts. If the game crashes after adding a mod, remove it and check the crash log. Report issues on our Discord or GitHub.

Getting Started with Create F&M 3

Create F&M 3 Getting Started 3 steps

Installation guide and first steps for Create F&M 3.

Create F&M 3 is available on both CurseForge and Modrinth. Use the CurseForge App, Modrinth App, or ATLauncher (our recommended launcher), search for "Create F&M 3", and click Install.
This pack is heavier than Vanilla+. Allocate at least 6-8 GB of RAM. A dedicated GPU is recommended for the best experience.
Start by gathering basic resources. The Create mod progression begins with Andesite Alloy. Check the quest book (key: L) for guided progression.

Tips for the best experience on the SMP

The Modpack features many classic texutre packs. If you want the pre 1.14 experience use the "Classic Minecraft Texturepack". New Blocks after 1.13 also got the classic style.

Performance Tips for Modpacks

All Projects Tips & Tricks 5 steps

General tips to improve performance across all our modpacks.

More is not always better. For Vanilla+ packs like {Additions}, use 4-6 GB. For heavier packs like Create F&M 3, use 6-8 GB. Over-allocating can actually cause lag due to garbage collection.
Modern Minecraft versions require Java 21. Make sure your launcher is using the correct Java version. Older Java versions will cause crashes.
Outdated GPU drivers are a common cause of rendering issues. Update your NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel drivers to the latest version.
Minecraft modpacks are memory-hungry. Close browsers, Discord (use the web version), and other programs to free up RAM.
Lower your render distance (8-12 chunks), set particles to Minimal, and disable Entity Shadows if you need more FPS.

We recommend ATLauncher — it supports both CurseForge and Modrinth packs with one-click installation. CurseForge App, Modrinth App, and Prism Launcher are also great options.

For most of our modpacks, we recommend allocating at least 6-8 GB of RAM. For heavier packs like Create F&M 3, 8-10 GB is recommended.

First, make sure you have enough RAM allocated and are using the correct Java version. For Fabric packs, use Java 21. If the issue persists, join our Discord and share your crash log in the support channel.

Yes, but we can't guarantee compatibility with additional mods. Adding client-side mods (like minimaps or shaders) is usually safe. For server-side mods, test thoroughly before adding them to a world you care about.

Yes! Our official hosting partner Kinetic Hosting supports all our modpacks with one-click installation. Check the Hosting page for more details and a special discount.
